Decided to spend a bit and indulge in halal french food. Located opposite Thiam Hock Keng temple, Royz Et Vous was busy amidst the quiet streets on a Sunday night.
Carbonara is the cheapest I can find in the menu but the taste is excellent! At S$16.90, the cream sauce is thick and creamy enough that you thought you will stop half way thru but no, you still want the taste linger in your mouth. I've tried the grilled chicken, a bit too sweet for my liking. The sweet potato fries is a good start before and in between the meals.
Bon appetit!

Breakfast like the locals sitting in a classy coffee shop: toast and coffee or tea. We had their Wang's signature kaya butter set that comes with 2 slice of toast, 2 soft-boiled eggs and a large cup of tea. Love that butter sweet taste of the toast and you want to keep eating more. The chicken macaroni is lightly taste for the morning stomach so it was good.
What you're waiting? Enjoy your breakfast Singaporean style!
[Based on their website they are halal certified but please do keep a look out for the certificate.]

Was wandering around ION Orchard when I stumbled upon Indobox. One look at it, you might thought it was a very fancy restaurant but surprisingly when I look at the menu it was quite affordable.
We had Ayam Penyet Set @S$10.80. It comes with soup and tofu in soy sauce. The chicken was tender but a bit less in spices. I would say it's very chinese-indo cuisine. Nothing spicy. The Mee Tek Tek was quite delicious and comes in large portion. You can taste the tomato-chilli base. Sweet sour-ish. Only S$9.50. This is a must: get the lemon tea. It's not the can-type lemon tea. It taste very home-made and refreshing.
Try it if you like indonesian food that doesn't burnt your tongue.

Located in Bedok Mall, Prata Wala serves indian cuisines from briyani to prata, naan, chappati, tandoori chicken, thosai as well a good selections of vegetarian choices.
Price might be a little higher from hawker food but for a comfy seating in an air-conditioned space and fast service, no complains.
I've tried the chicken briyani set @ $7.90. Portion is quite big, serves 2 if you are not a big eater. It's tasty - you can taste a very well combination of spices and it's a must to order teh tarik - milk tea @ $1.80.
I've tried the chappati set before. Thumbs up for that as well. 🖒🖒🖒

Located at Changi Airport Terminal 2 Departure, Krispy Kreme is halal certified! Yes, you can eat the many doughnuts without feeling the guilt (except for the sugar contents, of course).
What I like about this place is that it's not crowded and there's a variety of doughnuts to choose from and they are so pretty and tempting. The one I ordered is chocolate kit kat doughnut. It has got a cream filling inside. Cost me SG$2.95. Wouldn't mind to come here and chill. Add some sweetness in your life! Try it!

If you go to Qiji, don't forget to try their famous popiah or fresh spring roll. The generous fillings includes turnips, bean sprouts, eggs, lettuce, a spread of sweet chilli sauce and prawns (based on my observation) wrapped with homemade popiah skin. The one I got here is not spicy but you may request so.
Don't forget the laksa. What's interesting about Qiji's laksa is that the noodles are made from brown rice! For those who doesn't know what laksa is, it's a noodle dish in coconut milk and curry soup base. Regular laksa cost SG$4.30 but with additional of clams (and I really mean generous amount of clams) is SG$5.30
They also have nasi lemak (coconut rice) and home-made barley drink. I would say a fusion of chinese-malay dishes in here. Give it a go!

If you like to have a taste of cheap halal asian hawker food but in an air- conditioned place with lesser crowd, here it is. Please look out for the halal logo on each stall as not all food here are halal certified. My favourites are from the Korean, Japanese and Chinese stall.
Can't tell you the specific food to eat but I always ordered Yong Tau Foo (chinese stall) & Saba Fish set (korean stall-no longer halal). The Ebi & Salmon bento set (japanese stall) is nice too! Try them all if they can fit in your tummy! Lol.

So it's the mid-autumn festival going on. As a muslim we don't celebrate it but if you want to have a taste of halal mooncake, I would suggest this bakery. I've tried the mini green tea mooncake. Bit oily on the outside but the filling is so green tea with bits of pumpkin seeds on the inside. They have cakes, breads, buns as well and they are all halal! I've tried the mini birthday cake, the sponge is medium soft and everything about is lesser sweet. I recommend!

Craving for carbonara and I couldn't think of anywhere that serves halal carbonara but Pastamania. It wasn't that authentic italian but it serves my tastebud pretty well. Would prefer if it's more creamy as the one I ordered was a bit too dry.
The minestrone soup wasn't that sour-ish which is quite right for me (I'm not into sour food). I like the generous amount of veges in the soup.
This place is located at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 basement (they have other branches as well). There's always seats for you. Good place if you want to enjoy the food without much crowd or just before/after your flight. Enjoy~
