Despite some negative reviews, l still decided to visit this outlet. For me, it's not as bad as l expected. Don't expect too much with the service, it's typical of a Chinese coffee shop. Arrive early and try the dim sums, you'll be spoiled for choices. Some are different from our Malaysian version, though ;for example, the pau and yam puff fillings are not barbecued chicken we normally have in Malaysia. Anyway if you are used to having dim sum in Malaysia, please bring your own chilli sauce. Over here, they serve dim sum with soy sauce and sliced chilli
To be honest, I put an extreme high expectation towards this famous halal dimsum that all halal travel blogs reviewed, but sadly, after tasting them pieces, I realized the kind of taste it offers doesn't fit me. It has too strong synthetic flavoring which my body could not tolerate. Nonetheless, nothing to lose, one of my lists was checked ✔️
Salam Aleykoum, After 30days of fasting during the holy month of ramadhane and after one day of celebration for aid. I had wanted chinese halal food. I went back to the canteen nearby my home. I have to admit that i had tried it once 2 years ago when i arrived in hong kong. Unfortunately, never order dim sum for diner, i did it and they give you old made ones! I had not gone back since because we found it very bad. Since i understood that dim sum are only made during lunch! So here i was during LUNCH to try fresh dim sum. It was good, not as good as islam food but worth any penny spent. And it is very affordable. Also it is on top of the mosque, so good opportunity to pray dhor. And because it is cheap you may still have some money for zakat and help our brothers and sisters in HK or around the world. If i had a stamp to give my "blessing" for you guys to go you would get my approval.
Authentic dim sum available at the restaurant. Service crew are ever so helpful with the menu. Orders of dim sums are separate from their offerings of main dishes. Please be reminded to only order what you can consume. You may be asked to share tables when dining in as there are only 8pax tables available. Please be reminded to dress appropriately as the restaurant is set in a mosque.
