Avoid. If there is one restaurant I should never ever return to, it would be Ali Ya Chinese Restaurant. I went to this restaurant with my wife. We wanted to sit at one of the tables for two, but they sat us at a large table next to other men who kept looking at my wife and lurking into our plates during all lunch. The staff will not care about what you want to eat, they take your order without explanations, and will literally drop the plates in front of you without the least care. All what they seem to be interested in is how much they will extort from you, not how much you enjoy your meal. The food is oily and fat beyond belief, to a point that we got sick until evening. They have the same calligraphy hanging allover the place and that talks about winning war. What link does that have with food? Please spread the word for the sake of our brothers and sisters, and stay away.
Last time I was in Ikebukuro, and searched for Halal Lunch from Halal Navi. And I found this restaurant. I was craving for Chinese food. First time when I see their lunch menu, I can't find any rice menu. And then I see that their lunch menu is including rice, steamed bun, soup, stir fry vegetable, fruits, and sweets buffet! It was takes time for ordered food to come, but we can fill our hungry stomach with the buffet menu. I ordered skewer too, though it's not in the lunch menu, because when I see the menu picture, I can't hold to taste chicken skewer, and lamb skewer, and it was sooo delicious! For lunch I chose lamb steamed bun with beef soup. But the soup turns out a soup with cow intestines, so I can't eat it too much. But the steamed bun, really makes me happy, because it's really a long time no eat a real steamed bun.😭 The menu was just with Japanese and Chinese, so I think it was so hard for foreigner to come in to this restaurant. But w Read more...
This place is a few minutes walks from Ikebukuro st west exit and located on 2nd floor. At first, I was hesitant whether this restaurant is halal or not, as the customers were mostly chinese and they have beer on their table. But then, there is a halal sign inside. The interior also full of islamic calligraphy. However it is difficult to communicate with the staff as they dont speak english and not that friendly, the menus also all in japanese and chinese. The food was good though, so if you are in the area you might check this out.
The service was very fast, reasonable price and the taste is good!
